About the owner of HTown Treats

Hi, my name is Dr. Erik and I’ve always had a love for science and sweets. As a German living in Houston, I enjoy the incredible variety of food this place has to offer. I still remember my very first visit to the U.S., I filled an entire suitcase with candy and haven’t stopped exploring sweet treats from around the world since. That passion for discovering new and exciting flavors inspired me to start HTown Treats, a way to share the fun of freeze-dried candies, fruits, and ice creams. As the owner of HTown Treats, my mission is simple: to bring a little sweetness into everyone’s life - including yours.

HTown Treats Sweet Journey

The first time I tried freeze-dried sour candies, I was completely blown away. The flavor was so intense, the crunch so satisfying, and the texture so light and airy, I instantly wanted to try more. But when I realized how limited the variety in stores, I knew I had to start making my own. With my wife’s blessing, I took the leap and bought a freeze dryer, which marked the beginning of HTown Treats. And the new sweets were too good to keep to myself, so I decided to share my creations. That’s what HTown Treats is all about: discovering bold new flavors and sharing the joy of freeze-dried candy with you!
